Pajarito Powder Presents at Fuel Cell Seminar

Pajarito Powder was pleased to attend and present at the recent Fuel Cell Seminar & Energy Exposition which took place at the Westin Bonaventure, Los Angeles,  November 10-13, 2014. This was PPC’s third year participating in the Fuel Cell Seminar. Several PPC team members attended, where they presented as well as met with current and potential customers.

PPC Chief Scientist Alexey Serov presented to a group of around 30 FC Expo seminar participants on“Deployment of Non-Platinum Catalysts in PEM Fuel Cells” PEM Fuel Cells” (Abstract 135), during session R&D22 on Tuesday, November 11th from 3PM to 5PM.  Dr. Serov, the primary inventor of the formulations upon which PPC’s products are based, is one of the world’s leading non-PGM catalyst researchers. As a Research Assistant Professor of Chemical and Nuclear Engineering at the University of New Mexico, he is author or co-author of 5+ of the patents underlying the company’s technology, as well as numerous associated peer-reviewed publications, and has several relevant additional filings and publications in progress.

Pajarito Powder’s presentation was the only one from a commercial entity non-PGM catalysts, and was the only presentation from the US on the topic as well. Dr. Serov’s presentation generated a high level of interest and questions on various applications for non-PGM catalysts.

The growth of the fuel cell industry as a whole was evident, as exemplified by the presentation from Toyota in anticipation of their announcements the following week at the LA Auto Show for pricing of fuel cell cars and investment in Hydrogen infrastructure. The entire fuel cell industry is clearly ripe for growth and opportunity in the forseeable future.
