Pajarito Powder and a research group led by Dr. Yury Kolen’ko from the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) are beginning an unfunded research project that will evaluate PGM-free electrolysis and heterogeneous catalysts manufactured by Pajarito Powder.

Chief Scientist Alexey Serov from Pajarito Powder and Nanochemistry Research Group lead Dr. Yury Kolen’ko worked together on several materials related projects at the Inorganic Chemistry Division of Chem Department, Moscow State for several years during their PhD thesis study.

“It is a time to continue our joint work, especially in such an exciting and rapidly growing area as energy and catalysis. Yury is a great scientist with deep knowledge in correlation of materials structure and their properties, so it will be a great, mutually beneficial collaboration” – commented Dr. Serov.

“Embarking on research collaboration with Pajarito Powder is a great asset for our team. The catalysis is a very interesting chemistry topic and our young researchers would have an amazing opportunity to grow as scientists and learn through this collaboration, while helping Pajarito Powder achieve their goals”- commented Dr. Kolen’ko.

The Nanochemistry Research Group at INL is an international team of enthusiastic chemists, materials scientists, and coating engineers working together for R&D of unconventional nanomaterials.

Pajarito Powder, LLC is a domestic venture-backed startup, funded by the Verge Fund, Omphalos Venture Partners and other investors, focused on developing next-generation catalysts and catalyst supports for the fuel cell and electrolyzer industries. Working with automotive OEMs, fuel cell component companies and major electrolyzer manufacturers, Pajarito Powder is an established leader in advanced catalyst and catalyst support development in rapidly accelerating clean/green hydrogen energy industries.
