Pajarito Powder Debuts At FC Expo 2014

July 20, 2014

Pajarito Powder chose FC Expo 2014, in Tokyo Japan, as its debut venue for its family of affordable fuel cell catalysts. The decision to participate in one of the industry’s preeminent events was the right one to make. Show management’s experience in driving traffic, and organizing promotional as well as social events was clearly behind how seamlessly everything went.

Attending trade shows means occasional surprises, not always the good kind, in terms of logistics glitches, or site idiosyncracies; this event was free of any of those and full of a steady stream of approrpriate floor traffic as well as well-attended presentation sessions.

Pajarito was pleased with the turnout and response to its Wednesday presentation on Deployment of Non-Platinunm Catalysts in PEM Fuel Cells, which focused on how the performance and manufacturability of non-platinum catalysts have improved to the point of being viable alternatives to platinum catalysts, and specifically on the catalyst integration and performance factors of these non-PGM catalysts.

The event was a huge success in terms of networking with key players in the industry, establishing a visible presence, and perfecting the company’s overall message in a burgeoning and energy-rich market.  Traffic at the booth was high, including a visit to the USA pavillion by United States Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy.  The ability to sample commercial-scale product on-site to select customers was a milestone not only for the company, but for the adoption of non-PGM catalysts into the fuel cell industry.

Tom Stephenson, CEO, said, “Attending FC Expo was exactly the right thing to do at the commercial launch event for Pajarito Powder.  We established ourselves as a serious participant in a market that is growing exponentially in terms of actual fuel cell deployments, yet still searching for options to dramatically reduce catalyst costs at high-volume.”
