Catalysts Sales Double in 2017

Pajarito Powder, LLC announced that sales of catalyst doubled, with 106% year-over-year growth for 2017. Pajarito Powder manufactures Engineered Catalyst Supports (ECS), Precious-Metal-Free (PMF) catalysts, as well as advanced catalysts based upon the ECS product. Technology has been licensed from the University of New Mexico (UNM.STC), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and L’Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS, Canada), as well as home-grown by the Pajarito Powder technical team lead by CTO Barr Zulevi and Chief Scientist Alexey Serov.
Pajarito Powder CEO & Chairman, Thomas J. Stephenson stated, “It is testimony to both the rapidly increasing interest in fuel cell products as a category and the need to improve performance and reduce the cost of the catalyst – essential for large scale adoption of fuel cell solutions.” Stephenson appended, “…and because Pajarito Powder’s solutions address those requirements exceptionally well, I might add.”
Pajarito Powder currently sells products across the automotive OEM industry, as well as to manufacturers of Combined Heat & Power (CHP), manufacturers of stationary fuel cells and other.
Pajarito Powder, LLC is a venture-backed startup, funded by the Verge Fund and other investors, focused on developing next-generation fuel cell catalysts and catalyst supports for the automotive industry. Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) are the industry recognized replacement for the internal combustion engine (ICE), emitting only water and providing similar use modalities as ICE vehicles.
