Albuquerque, NM – June 17, 2024 – Pajarito Powder, a leading innovator in advanced catalyst technologies for clean energy applications, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded new funds from the Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) by the State of New Mexico. This funding will support the company’s ongoing staffing efforts to develop cutting-edge solutions for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) and electrolyzers, to produce green hydrogen.

The JTIP funds will enable Pajarito Powder to expand its workforce, providing high-quality on-the-job training to new employees in advanced manufacturing roles. This support will not only enhance the company’s capabilities in producing electrocatalyst but also contribute to the growth of New Mexico’s clean energy sector.

“We are honored to receive this support from the State of New Mexico through the JTIP program,” said Thomas J. Stephenson, CEO of Pajarito Powder. “This funding is a testament to the state’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable economic development. It will allow us to accelerate our scale-up efforts, bring new products to market, and create great jobs that benefit the local community.”

The JTIP program, administered by the New Mexico Economic Development Department, provides financial support to companies creating new jobs in the state. By offsetting the cost of job training, JTIP helps businesses like Pajarito Powder grow and thrive while ensuring that New Mexico’s workforce remains competitive and skilled in emerging industries.

“We look forward to utilizing the JTIP funds to enhance our capabilities and continue driving innovation in the clean energy sector,” added Stephenson. “Our team is dedicated to developing technologies that will have a lasting positive impact on the environment and the economy.”
