Pajarito Powder engaged in a Joint Development Agreement with the world’s largest producer of Niobium products, Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração or CBMM. Located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, CBMM produces more than 80% of the world’s Niobium for a wide variety of applications. Used across the structural, mobility and energy sectors Niobium is an element widely valued for its ability to improve the strength of steel. Pajarito Powder is developing Niobium-based materials for the hydrogen economy using CBMM’s high-quality products, with a focus on fuel cell and electrolyzer catalysts and catalyst support.
CTO and President Dr. Barr Zulevi stated, “This is an exciting opportunity for Pajarito Powder and CBMM. The quality and purity of their Niobium materials is the highest available in world. For Pajarito this agreement provides a secure supply chain of uniquely high-quality raw materials and for CBMM we are developing a high value-add market for what has traditionally been a commodity, providing them with an excellent pathway toward a future focused on sustainable energy systems development.”
