Pajarito Powder Strong Presence at NAM25

June 19, 2017

The North American Catalysis Society hosted its 25th successful conference during the first week of June. NAM25, which took place in Denver Colorado, USA, had a wide array of attendees from both academia and industry, providing their latest insight toward catalysis research and development. Pajarito Powder is proud to have supported NAM25 by being a cobalt-level sponsor, as well as by providing social media coverage for the event.

Beyond sponsorship and social media coverage, Pajarito Powder’s Chief Technology Officer and President, Dr. Barr Zulevi chaired two sessions on catalysis development for Fuel Cells. “We are pleased to have local-startup fuel cell company Pajarito Powder participating in and sponsoring NAM, with CTO Barr Zulevi Co-Chairing the Catalysis for Fuel Cells sessions, and other team members presenting,” quoted Dr. Abhaya Datye, Emmett Award plenary speaker, Co-Chair of the NAM25 Organizing Committee and Research Professor at the University of New Mexico.

Research was also presented by Dr. Alia Lubers and Geoff McCool on Durable Engineered Carbon Supports and Economic MOF-Based PMF Oxygen-Reaction Catalysts, respectively. “We received positive feedback from the academic community about our work with pore size, and to our products being superior to immediate competitors” commented Dr. Lubers on the Poster Session at the conference.” Abstracts for all research presented by the Pajarito Powder team can be found by following this link.

Associates from Pajarito Powder also seized the opportunity to discuss with other NAM25 attendees ways that coordinated research efforts could be beneficial to the mission of economically producing fuel cell catalysts. “We had a range of interactions with researchers in academia, on which we will be following up after the conference,” remarked Dr. Zulevi after returning to Albuquerque. “These interactions will be critical to the successful development of new technologies via our U.S. Department of Energy ARPA-E contract.”
